Do you accept insurance?
At Oak Haven Chiropractic, we do not accept insurance because we believe it’s important to provide the highest level of care without external limitations. Insurance companies are often focused on quick, symptom-based treatment, which typically prioritizes conventional approaches, such as medication and surgery, over long-term wellness and preventative care.
We follow a vitalistic approach to health, addressing the root causes of symptoms through gentle and specific, nervous system-centered chiropractic adjustments. Our goal is to restore balance and enhance overall wellness, not just mask symptoms. As Dr. Taylor always emphasizes, true healing starts from within, not from the outside-in.
While many insurance plans may help with the cost of traditional “sick care,” they rarely cover services that maintain or enhance your overall health. By not working with insurance companies, we can keep our office costs lower, which helps us provide affordable care to families.
We are happy to provide the necessary documentation for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement if you choose to file on your own. Additionally, we accept HSA and FSA payments and are always open to discussing financial concerns to ensure you receive the care you deserve. Our mission is to serve you and your family in the most meaningful way possible.
Why can't I wear shoes inside?
While we want to keep our floors and rugs looking nice despite all the foot traffic, research has shown that shoes track in far more than just dirt. A study from the University of Arizona found an average of 421,000 units of bacteria on the outside of shoes and 2,887 units on the inside. They also discovered E. coli on 27% of the shoes, as well as other harmful bacteria, including K. pneumoniae, which can cause infections like pneumonia and meningitis.
The study emphasizes that shoes pick up bacteria from places like public restrooms, dog waste, and even bird droppings. While we’re not germaphobes and believe in the benefits of exposure to strengthen immunity, we do have little ones crawling around. With that in mind, we choose to take small steps to improve the health of our environment and protect our loved ones.
Is chiropractic safe for babies? What's the earliest they can be adjusted?
Absolutely! This is probably one of the easiest questions to answer! Chiropractic adjustments for your little ones are customized to fit their specific needs, which means the force and techniques used will vary based on their age and size.
In fact, it’s never too early for your baby to receive chiropractic care—whether they’re just days, weeks, or even hours old! We’re specially trained to care for all ages, and our adjustments are so gentle that your baby might even sleep through the process (think: gently checking the ripeness of a tomato).
Why don't you adjust on Day 1?
Here at Oak Haven Chiropractic we believe in clarity and transparency when it comes to your care. After a thorough neuro-spinal exam, the doctors will sit down with you to discuss the most effective care plan and technique for your needs.
During your second appointment, we’ll go over our recommendations together, allowing you to make an informed decision before starting care for yourself or your child. Each care plan is carefully customized to fit your unique needs.
Do you do any therapies in your office?
We focus on what we do best—adjusting your nervous system! While we specialize in chiropractic care, we work alongside a network of highly skilled practitioners in the area. If we believe you could benefit from additional care to support your health goals, we’re happy to co-manage with trusted professionals.
